The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Fighters Party

From the very beginning of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a colorful mix of characters, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and malevolent powers growing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Key plot points for the latest installment of Campaign 4 follow below.

The Soldiers Table Revealed

The latest chapter concluded with a dramatic pause and revealed the premier party of heroes who will split off from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, distinct from the remaining groups.

The combat-focused team features Teor (played by the voice actor), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (the actor).

The Reason for Division

Given 13 cast members, it was obvious from the beginning that having everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

Hence, the first four episodes of this story serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the Soldiers table is for players who enjoy a traditionally charged battle-oriented narrative style where diplomatic options are rare.

At first glance, figures such as the reluctant priest Wicander Halovar might seem out of place, but the developments of the latest installment show why these particular heroes are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party has a clear idea where to go next after a violent first encounter with The Crow Keepers.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose passing initiated the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his own means, invading the hidden lair, striking the character, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and ran away to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond the urban center, with Cyd Pridesire hot on his heels.

Personal Motivations

Moreover, each character has a personal reason to leave the city the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, wants retribution.
  • The knowledgeable figure knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous environment.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to execute Teor and instead saved him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their reputation as important members in the influential clan could assist the group enter places they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The fighter vowed a unbreakable promise to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Wanted and Hunted

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that rule the city for a range of causes, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are partnered with.
  • The fighter is targeted for elimination by the family.

This leaves them no alternative but to head to the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

What’s Next?

According to the latest episode’s follow-up content, we discover that the combat party will not appear next week, leaving the remaining eight cast members to assemble the Seekers and Planners tables.

Fans can look forward to finding out which adventurers will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, streaming live on October 24.
